What is PickleScore?

PickleScore is a pickleball score tracker for Apple Watch designed to make scoring simple, quick, and easy to follow during live play.

Why do I need a pickleball score tracker on my Apple Watch?

Because the score can be easy to lose track of, especially in the middle of a close game. PickleScore keeps it visible on your wrist, so you can spend less time guessing and more time playing.

Does PickleScore work without my iPhone during a match?

Yes. PickleScore runs directly on Apple Watch during play. Your iPhone is only used for settings like theme selection, so you do not need your phone in your hand or pocket during a match.

Does PickleScore work during real on-court play?

Yes. PickleScore is built specifically for live, on-court use, with fast score updates that fit naturally into a real match.

Can I use PickleScore for open play, rec play, and competitive matches?

Yes. PickleScore is designed to work just as well for open play and rec games as it does for more competitive matches. It was tested in both open play and competitive settings during development by a competitive pickleball player to make sure it feels simple, fast, and reliable on court.

Does PickleScore track serves?

Yes. Serve tracking is now live in PickleScore v1.2.

Can I use PickleScore and Apple Watch Fitness Tracking at the same time?

Yes. PickleScore and Apple Watch fitness tracking can be used together. If PickleScore is not staying visible on your watch as expected, check Settings → General on your Apple Watch. The exact setting may vary by watchOS version and can affect how long an app stays open during play.

Will PickleScore stay visible during a game?

PickleScore is designed for fast, on-court scorekeeping. If it is not staying visible as long as expected, check your Apple Watch settings under Settings → General, since watchOS behavior can vary by version.

Is PickleScore easy to use?

Yes. PickleScore is designed to feel simple from the first tap. It is fast, clear, and easy to use during live play.

Does PickleScore use swipe gestures or complicated controls?

No. PickleScore is designed for straightforward scorekeeping, without relying on complicated gestures or hard-to-remember controls.

Do I need a complicated setup process?

No. PickleScore is simple to get started with, so you can set it up quickly and get right into playing.

Can I fix the score if I tap the wrong side?

Yes. If you make a mistake, you can quickly correct the score and keep the game moving.

Why is PickleScore better than trying to remember the score?

How much does PickleScore cost?

PickleScore is $0.99 for a limited time. The price increases to $1.99 on May 1.

Does PickleScore require a subscription?

No. PickleScore is a one-time purchase with no subscription.

Does PickleScore include ads?

No. PickleScore does not include ads.

Who is behind PickleScore’s development?

PickleScore was created by Greg Taylor, founder of Upper Level Development and a competitive pickleball player based in Oaklyn, New Jersey, just outside Philadelphia.

Does PickleScore help reduce score disputes?

Can I customize how PickleScore looks?

Yes. PickleScore includes 4 core themes, and seasonal or event themes may be added in future updates. In v1.2, there are 6 total themes available.

Are new features being considered?

Yes. PickleScore will continue to improve through updates, including new features, refinements, and additional theme options.

Is PickleScore focused on scorekeeping or loaded with extra features?

PickleScore is intentionally focused on simple, effective scorekeeping. It is built to help you keep the game moving without adding unnecessary complexity.

Is an Android version available?

Not yet. An Android version is coming soon in Summer 2026.
